Salary Account

Account Opening and Eligibility

• The Salary Localization Account is exclusively available to employees in the public and private sectors.
• The account is offered in Iraqi Dinar (IQD) only.
• A valid employment verification letter or salary transfer agreement must be provided during account opening.

Account Features

• The account is designed to facilitate the direct deposit of monthly salaries.
• A MasterCard is provided, allowing global access to ATMs and purchases.
• Customers can perform seamless transactions at RTB ATMs or other bank ATMs.
• Purchases are supported through Point of Sale (POS) terminals across Iraq.
• 24/7 account management is available through online banking and mobile app, SMS banking for real-time transaction updates, and a network of ATMs.

Fees and Charges

• Account opening fee: No charge for employees opening a Salary Localization Account.
• ATM withdrawal fees: Free at RTB ATMs. Fees for ATM withdrawals from other banks depend on the respective bank.

Customer Obligations

• Customers must ensure salary transfers are set up with their employers to deposit into the account.
• It is the account holder's responsibility to keep their banking card and PIN secure.
• Any changes in employment status or salary arrangements must be reported to the bank promptly.

Bank's Rights

• The bank reserves the right to modify terms, fees, and conditions with prior notice to customers.
• The account may be suspended or closed if there is no salary activity for six consecutive months unless an exception is requested and approved.
• The bank reserves the right to withhold or deduct amounts if required by law or regulatory authorities.

Termination of Account

• The customer may close the account by submitting a written request to the bank, provided all outstanding fees and liabilities are settled.
• Customers must report discrepancies in salary deposits or transactions within 30 days of the transaction date.
• The bank may terminate the account if salary deposits cease without prior notice.

Governing Laws

• The laws of Iraq and the Kurdistan Regional Government govern salary domiciliation accounts.
