Account Opening and Eligibility

• The Current Account is available in Iraqi Dinar (IQD), US Dollars (USD), or Euros (EUR).
• The account is open to both citizens and residents of Iraq.
• A minimum balance of 250,000 IQD, $167, or €167 is required to maintain the account.

Account Features

• The account is non-interest-bearing.
• Customers may request a checkbook for transactional convenience.
• The account allows for local and international bank transfers.
• A MasterCard or UnionPay card can be issued, enabling access to ATMs and facilitating worldwide transactions.
• Account statements can be received via electronic banking app statements or paper statements collected from bank branches.

Fees and Charges

• Account opening fee: 45,000 IQD.
• Additional fees may apply for specific services such as replacement cards, overdraft penalties, or checkbook issuance (refer to the fee schedule available on our website or at bank branches).

Account Management

24/7 account management is available through:

• Online banking and mobile app.
• SMS banking for real-time transaction updates.
• A network of ATMs.

Customer Obligations

• Customers must ensure accurate personal details are provided at the time of account opening. Updates to personal information (e.g., address or contact details) must be promptly communicated to the bank.
• Account holders are responsible for maintaining the minimum balance. Falling below this balance may result in additional charges or penalties.

Bank's Rights

• The bank reserves the right to modify terms, fees, and conditions with prior notification to account holders, as per applicable laws and regulations.
• The bank may suspend or close the account if any suspicious or unlawful activity is detected.
• The account may be suspended or closed if there is no activity for six consecutive months.

Termination of Account

• Customers may close their accounts by providing written notice to the bank.
• All outstanding balances, fees, and liabilities must be settled before account closure.

Governing Laws

• The laws of Iraq and the Kurdistan Regional Government govern current accounts.
